so you had an alterior motive for positing the Q "is art dead" :) not to find answers but to create the context for your answer. i wish i could read french because i imagine the poetics of the english translation are more a natural part of the french language. i imagine.
"The art will live as long as the humanity will live" is just about the only answer to the Q that can't really be questioned, with one caveat --
art is dead when nobody says they make art. humanity can physically exist without art, but it begs the Q are we then still human.
so is humanity dead?
