1> I don't think art is dead. There are still many people practising art in internet and offline and will always be a human practise.I don't agree it's all copy/paste. In Internet as in other kind of expressions there are art and non-art examples.Tools change but not human art.
3 > (...) but it seems all-of-even that something is changing
Things are changing as in other art historic times
but what?
New tools and technologie is available now.
And art distribution also changes because of this.is this in the content or the form?
In both senses: content and form.
Content and form had already begun changing with video incorporation and instalations.
Digital Art accelerates that process and makes it more interactive and also takes art out of art institutions. The new process sometimes change contents, not in their deepest sens, but in subjects developed.
is this the "meaning" of art, its social function which evolves?Social function will begin to change as art can also be seen out of galleries and museums.
but in fine what do we wait from art?
artists - public and art consumers - diffusers...
dreaming, distraction, knowledge, social link...
which role art must it play in our modern societies? The same as in all periods. Art is a mirror, emotion,a good way of expressing eternal human beings' contents(love, death, comunication, etc)Many other subjects lead to those contents if we analysed them deeply.
I think Internet can also make more people participate in art
leaving away inhibitions many art institutions make feel to those who don´t practise art.
